Delete your data
How to ask Crewnyx to delete your account and the data that goes with it. You don't need to be your company's administrator, and you don't need to give a reason.
1. How to ask
You can ask in any of these ways:
- In Crewnyx. Sign in to the app or the website, open Settings, and under Delete my account choose Request account deletion. The same screen shows where your request stands and lets you cancel it while it is waiting.
- Email us at support@crewnyx.com from your account's email address, with the subject Delete my data, if you can't sign in. Tell us your name and the company you work for, and we'll pass it to them or handle it ourselves as described below.
If you work for a company that uses Crewnyx, your request goes to that company, because your work records are theirs: its owner and, if it has one, its accountant approve it. You stay signed in while they decide, and you'll be told when they have. If nobody has decided within 30 days, email us and we'll follow it up with your company.
If you own a company, or don't belong to one, we handle the request ourselves and complete it within 30 days. If you email us, we reply to the address on your account to confirm the request came from you, and we tell you when it is done.
2. What is removed
When your company approves your request:
- Your sign-in is closed, and every device you were signed in on is signed out.
- Your two-factor authenticator is removed.
- Your phone number and photo are removed.
- The devices registered for your notifications are removed.
Your name and email address stay on your work records, so those records stay accurate, and so that if you go back to work there, your company can turn your account back on with your history as it was.
When we handle a request ourselves, we also delete your profile, your messages, and photos you uploaded that are not part of a record described below.
3. What may be kept, and for how long
Some of what you create at work belongs to your employer's records, and employers are often required by law to keep them: time and payroll records, and receipts for expenses. Deleting your account does not remove those from your employer's records.
- Deleted messages. When a message is deleted, a copy stays in your company's message audit trail for 12 months, and then it is removed for good.
- Records of sign-ins, two-factor code attempts and system errors are kept for no more than 12 months, then deleted automatically.
4. When a whole company leaves
When a company's subscription ends, it has 30 days to ask us for a copy of its data. After that, we delete it as our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum describe, except where the law requires us to keep something.
