Built by a working AV tech, for other working crews.

Crewnyx is built in Central Florida by people who work in the field. It exists because the tools out there didn't fit a small crew, so we built one that does.

The company

Crewnyx is built and operated by Sparky Venture Labs LLC, a small independent software studio based in Orlando, Florida. Our other product is Printer Studio, an iOS app for 3D-printer preset management. We're not venture-backed and we don't have a growth team. We ship software we'd want to use ourselves.

The origin story

Crewnyx was started by Wesley, a low-voltage and AV technician. The field-service software he tried kept getting the same things wrong:

  • Prices set for big companies, with features a six-person crew never uses
  • A separate app for the time clock, another for receipts, another for messages
  • Data models that treated a whole company as one flat pool of users

So he built his own: a time clock, receipts that read themselves, messaging that stays inside your company, and job sites that don't disappear into a folder tree. Crewnyx is that, made into a product for other crews.

The values

Small-company empathy

We know what it's like to run payroll on Friday when Alex forgot to clock out on Wednesday. The whole product is designed around not having that conversation.

Your data stays yours

Each company's records are separated from every other company's inside the database, and an automated test checks that every night.
